The short version

Cooking Untamed does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. The App Store Privacy Nutrition Label for this app reads Data Not Collected. That is accurate because nothing is collected.

What stays on your device

The following are saved locally to your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch using your device's standard storage. None of it leaves your device.

• Recipes you favorite
• Recipes you have cooked and how recently
• Personal notes you add to a recipe
• Your active shopping list and pantry contents
• Cached timer detections from recipe step text
• Recipes you import and the photos attached to them

Camera, photos, and recipe links

Importing a recipe from a photo uses your camera or photo library with your permission. The photo is read by Apple's on-device Vision framework; the text recognition happens on your device, and the photo is stored only in the app's local storage as that recipe's picture. Importing from a link fetches the page you pasted directly from your device to that website, the same way a browser would, and parses it on your device. Nothing about your recipes, photos, or browsing is sent to us or anyone else — there is no server to send it to.

Microphone and speech recognition

Cook Mode includes hands-free voice control. When you turn the microphone on, audio is processed by Apple's on-device Speech framework. Speech recognition happens on your device. Audio recordings are not stored, not transmitted, and not sent to any server, including Apple's. The microphone is only active while you have Cook Mode listening; turning it off stops the audio session.

Apple Intelligence

Cooking Untamed uses Apple Intelligence on devices that support it. All Apple Intelligence operations in this app run on-device. Nothing is sent to OpenAI, Apple's Private Cloud Compute, or any other remote service.

No accounts, no third parties

There are no accounts to create. There is no analytics service, no crash reporter, no tracking SDK, no ad network, no third-party login, and no remote configuration. There is no server.

Children

Cooking Untamed is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app does not collect any data from anyone, it does not collect data from children either.
